How Does Life Come to be Like This? #Day28 #NaPoWriMo
I worked on questions that a fictional character in a book I like would be contemplating. I bet you'll know right away who this character is. Please consider leaving me your thoughts *wink*

We're nearing the end of April, the end of poetry month. I'm feeling sad already. Thanks for reading my words. I will never know all the voices that stayed long enough for me to jot things down-- all those voices that spoke through me this month already. But somewhere in the words that precede me, I know that at least one voice carried my soul. And I hope at least one squeezed your heart. Let me know which one, please. Here's my confession:
The Moon. What's not to love about her?
"The blue moment-- it comes on like torrents of grace, unexpected, unannounced, and will forever live in your memory. A gift of the spirit." ~ Kent Nerburn
The splendor that is Spring comes with a colorful invitation that we come alive and be present to life. Happy Spring.
Selma's into poetry -- syllabic poetry! The forms I've chosen to share with you today feel as relaxing as when I'm with a knitting needle, counting stitches. That's what makes this form fun to write. I hope you enjoy them.
People with dreams are beautiful. Do you have one you've been nourishing? Reality has its limitations, whereas your imagination is without limits. Let me tell you what I did.
Have you been in a healthy relationship for a long time? How's that going? How does the couplehood feel? Might it be anything like this poem-- a bliss more decadent than dessert wines, more decadent than lipstick marks? Please take a read.
Decluttering is not hard. But one has to distinguish between what's trivial and what's important according to the amount of attention or inattention one gives to things. Each person's capacity to derive importance from "clutter" translates to gratifying moments that matter to that individual. In short, what's trivial and what's important are whatever you make them out to be. If you're struggling to get started decluttering, here are two questions to help.
Today, we saw the sun. And in my yard, I saw two snakes taking a shortcut through my yard. Oh my! Here's a poem about those cheeky snakes that stopped me in my track. How do you feel about snakes? I'm not a fan, they scare the daylights out of me, but I let them be. I hope these two find a home somewhere else. Right?
We're all unique and everything about us is extraordinary. Me: Soil, grass, coconuts, plantains; sky, sea, breeze — all soaked into me. What's your scent? I really want to know about the home that raised you.
