My Turn for an MFA Payday Interview: Drēma Drudge

A REPOST:

Oh, hello dear people. I’m sure you know by now how much pleasure I get from
highlighting people I admire in this lovely WP writers’ community —you know that,
right? Well if you didn’t, now you do.

This “repost” is to offer support to a dear Author who calls me “friend” and who has
even sent me a Christmas decoration that has been gracing my tree (last year I
switched to a wall tree–the decoration hung resplendently).

I’ve told you about Author Drēma Drudge before. Once here:

I’m ashamed of how long I dragged my feet with this book. I hope you forgive me, and in the same
breath want to invite you to read my story of discovery and vulnerability in this book review. Kudos
to the author of Victorine: A book that I will forever hold dear.

And again, here:

If you ever picked up a copy of Virginia Woolf’s To The Lighthouse, read far enough — to
feel the rhythm of that novel, and then, after getting the style and prose style to fit you,
reached the end of To The Lighthouse (and loved it so much that you reread it). And
applauded Woolf for “knowing more than anyone how to explain the human condition.”
— you will soon come to realize…
Please read my book review. #support #whattoread

These two honest reviews should tell you what I feel for this gifted human.

Well, that was a long intro. Now, let me share the repost so you can hear, in Ms
Drudge’s own words, about HerStory as she takes the spotlight in HerTurn For an MFA Payday Interview.

HERWORDS (REPOSTED)

You don’t need me to add my bio information here, do you? Or where to buy my book? It was my turn at the mic on this episode of MFA Payday. We ended …

Selma, one of the most exuberant and passionate reviews I’ve read and wow, I’m hooked! I love how Victorine becomes HERstory – so often the artist’s muses become lost and forgotten! I’ve done that a few times, started a book, left it only to return later and think myself lucky as I could have been missing out on a gem of a novel! Many thanks for sharing here and congratulations to the author!

Victorine was exactly what I needed at the time. And I cannot tell you how happy I was when I finished it.
And while reading I paused to look up the art pieces mentioned. It was an art enlightening book for me. Adored it.
Annika. Thanks so much for reading and commenting. Your support means the world to me. Thank always. I bless you my friend. Xoxo
