For November 29th–W3 Prompt #83: Wea’ve Written Weekly

Written for The Skeptic’s Kaddish for the prompt of November 29, 2023 where
Ms. Mich is the PoW. Thanks guys.

I. The prompt poem:

‘Rainbow – Colored Afternoon’, a rondeau by Michelle Navajas

II. Mich’s prompt guidelines

Write a multiple/chained hay(na)ku on the theme of “love lost and found”.

Hay(na)ku?

Hay(na)ku is a very simple poetic form and one of the newest. It was inaugurated on
the Web on June 12th, 2003 (Philippines Independence Day) by Filipino poet Eileen
Tabios (b. 1960).

  • Three lines;
    • L1: one word;
    • L2: two words;
    • L3: three words;

There are some variations of this new poetic form. For instance, a reverse hay(na)ku
has lines of three, two, and one words for L1, L2, and L3 respectively. Also, multiple
hay(na)ku can be chained together to form longer poems.

Thanks for reading
and
happy last day in
November

    Beautiful, and the last stanza, the idea of love as “madness most discreet” is full of intrigue. 💖

    1. Selma Martin

      Isn’t it something? Is this an oxymoron you think? Could be, right? 🤷🏽‍♀️ I don’t know. Blessings. Thanks for reading Dora dear.
