Do You Believe In Miracles?

Are you aware that YOU are DESERVING of Miracles?

Miracles? Who me,” you say, looking around.

“Yes, You,” I say, smiling with YOU.

“It’s a dog-eat-dog world, ma’am,” you say.

“It’s anything you say it is,” I say.

Hey, I see where you’re coming from.
Yesterday people loved you; today, you’re their target. Yesterday everything was

going smoothly; today, it’s been one chaos after another. Yesterday you felt like
you were so-so, not bad, an okay person; today, you feel like you’re a failure.

I get you, you see? I’ve had days like those too. And you and I know those days are
not made up. They’re as real as the pain we feel when we pinch our cheeks.
And I’ll be candid–days like those will continue coming, no matter where we are.

It’d be folly to pretend that it’ll never rain on special days or that the winds will
always blow in our favor. They won’t. I’m vulnerable to those weather conditions
just as much as you are. We’re the same, you and I.

Now, will you read on to see how this leads to miracles?

***

These day-to-day changes will not stop happening. And the outcome of things will
continue changing how you feel from one day to the next.

Huh, so here’s where you shrug and say, “See, told ya!”

Yes, I agree that these are situations that are out of our control. But everything
happens for a reason.

Here’s the thing, though–there’s one ‘something’ you can do about it. Something
you can change! And as far as this ‘something’ is concerned, you have total control:

you can choose to shift how you perceive situations

Bear with me for a bit. I bet that whether you’re a bible reader or NOT, you’ve heard
the biblical story where Jesus says we can build our house on sand or rock.

You know that story, right? If you honestly haven’t heard it, let me know, and I’ll direct
you to a place where you can read it.

So yes, like I was saying, sand or stone. Well, the house Jesus talks about refers to
our emotional stability.

When our house—stability—is built on sand, it doesn’t take much to imagine what
will happen to that house when the winds and the rains come. Think of the winds and
downpours as one disappointing phone call, one missed moment, one unfriendly look–
what happens? Our house crumbles. The day turns into a bad day.

And now the other alternative, building our house on strong, sturdy rocks, and what
do we have? Well, yes, we have a robust and sturdy house. The winds will still come,
the rains too, but our house will remain standing tall and strong.

See, bad days will keep on happening, but if our emotional stability is strong and
sturdy, you’ll find that you’re not so vulnerable to the storms that come your way.

And that is where the shift in our perception comes into play.

Our stability rests on something bigger, sturdier, and grander than any storm or
drama coming our way.

And my title idea about believing in miracles lies in that shift. Choosing to make the
shift in perception IS the Miracle. You and I are Deserving of that Miracle. But you
and I have to decide whether to embrace it or not. I already have. Which will you
choose?

Perhaps now is a good time as ever to think about
where you want to build your house.

THANK YOU FOR READING.
I Wish You Miracles.

  1. I need this today! I had shifting sands over the weekend, out of nowhere, unexpected. My strength is within, not dependent on others. The winds can blow, but only I can ensure that I stand tall. Thank you!

Replenish your emotional stability by giving yourself the time you need dear friend. Your ‘House’ is built on firm rock already. Keep it strong from within as well. You’re okay. Here’s looking at you. I Wish you Miracles.
