Day Nineteen
on APRIL 19, 2022
Happy Tuesday, all, and happy nineteenth day of Na/GloPoWriMo.
Our daily (optional) prompt! Today’s challenge is to write a poem that starts with a command. It could be as uncomplicated as “Look,” as plaintive as “Come back,” or as silly as “Don’t you even think about putting that hot sauce in your hair.” Whatever command you choose, I hope you have fun ordering your readers around.
HATCHET THEM OUT! Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will hurt me none, ever. Well, I never! Rhymes for children? become staples, shift behavior sculpt opinion. Hatchet them out! If you have zilch to add to silence, improve or lengthen hush! Treat words with graciousness no frills or shtick; words of compassion Oh, the disdain! Rhymes for children? become staples, shift behavior sculpt opinion. Hatchet them out! Strive to be mindful impart clear points scathing words break bones. Cut! little children turn to adults become parents circle of life *** © 2022 selmamartin.com
Hours tardy on this one but here’s my contribution to the prompt of Day19.
Thanks for reading, and on to Day20.
