Merry Old Christmas is Here

The country that raised me boasted of one season throughout the year, but perhaps it was because we wished for snow so much, but at Christmas time, we often pulled out sweaters to ward off the chill. And mother read us stories of Christmases in cold countries. Hope you enjoy these from Librivox.

Heart Murmurs Of My Hometown #Day20 #NaPoWriMo

Ode to my beloved city and all cities everywhere in the world. And note the new Korean poetry form, called a sijo, that I applied (as per the prompt of today). I enjoyed working on this. Hope you enjoy reading it as well. Let me know in the comments, please. xoxo

What The Spirit World Has To Say

All Rights Reserved Β© Selma Martin 2021 Folklore inspired by a grasshopper that landed on my head. If Something Is Amiss Tomorrow, Find Me Here #poetry

Neither one thing nor the other, but something betwixt and between-- the β€œliminal” spaces that linger in places, situations, relationships and life. This poem is written for someone particular in my life. This person might never read this, but that's fine; let it exist in the liminal edges out there. Enjoy.

Extra, Extra: Relax, Beam Up Your Team #ha’sonnet

Lucid dreams are dreams, after all-- with omens/signals to offer insight. But Life! Life is precious when it's lived fully awoken: in spirit and foresight. Un-dream to redeem your purpose and 'live' the dream.
