An Update on Earthly Days by Cheryl Batavia

Hello dear friends. The last time we talked about Earthly Days by my sweet friend
Cheryl Batavia, I was able to review it only on Barnes and Noble. The good news
today is that the pesky ‘Temporarily Out Of Stock’ label on Amazon is gone: Yay!
So please head over to Amazon to show “our Cheryl” your support, please.

This is just a friendly reminder as I just reviewed it on Amazon (and Goodreads).

An invitation to consciously recall your own treasures

“We can only be said to be alive in those moments when
our hearts are conscious of our treasures.”~ Thornton Wilder

In Earthly Days by Cheryl Batavia, a collection of around forty poems, you will feel
your heart squeezed gently as you read about a life full of small treasures: a birthday
present for a five-year-old that wins grins for all when a purple dinosaur is presented.
That dinosaur went on to create twenty-three years of priceless memories, the Author
told me. And who hasn’t experienced the attraction of just such a timepiece?

Or ever possessed something like a small cactus-tailed cat porcelain flower pot
gifted to a boy the Author knew named Harvey: And that the cactus-tailed flower
pot is a family legacy that still stands for service and giving is beyond beautiful.
I promise you this–mention of memories like these will give rise to yours.

Sprinkled with lovely photographs and words that will linger, this marvelous poetry
collection is chock-full of treasures that enhance a life lived in reverence and love.

“Love lights the twilight.
in winter’s chill, we are warmed
by each other’s gaze.” p. 20 Love Flourishes

The poems and sonnets, the rhyming, the tasteful photographs, the nostalgia, and
the pleas to save Mother Earth so that our future generation can cherish a semblance
of nostalgia made me teary-eyed.

What a fantastic way to open with a poem that asks nature to help me, the reader,
be more like her: “Enlighten me, mind and soul!” ~ p. 1 Transitions

And to conclude with a last poem that invites me to walk the world with the Author:
“My heart is in the mountains.
My feet are in the sea.
My head is in the clouds,
my arms around a tree.

We can talk with the animals…
Come walk the world with me!” P. 52 Walk With Me

Dear reader, consider purchasing this poetry collection of nostalgia that will awaken
you to the world we journey together. Your treasured memories will differ from the
Author’s, but her sharing will nudge and remind you of yours.

As seen on Amazon

Earthly Days poems by Cheryl Batavia is ultimately a love letter to life, a testament
written with the youthful exuberance of a life lived in gratitude. I concur that nothing
is as beautiful as arriving at retirement and looking back at life with such a grateful
heart.

I’m so glad this poetry collection exists and highly recommend it. May your
days on Earth be this blissful—a five-star rating from a satisfied customer.

Cheryl my sweet. Did you read Lauren’s comment?
Seems that your lovely book is “Temporarily Out Of Stock” not only in Japan but in your Homeland as well. This is not right! Someone better fix it asap!
I placed my order with Amazon regardless. It went through. But I’m stubborn that way. Other people might wait and wait and then tire.
I’m looking out for you. 💗 sending blessings.

Hi Selma, thank you so much for reaching out to me. Yes, I found your review of Songs of Heartstrings. I really appreciate your reading and re-reading it. I would like to keep in touch with you. I just responded to your comment and signed up for your newsletter. I hope to receive your blog posts too.

I seem to have replied to this comment in another comment. SMH. forgive. Here is my response:

Hey Miriam your comment warms my heart. Thank you. It’s a joy to connect with you on this platform. Good thing that WordPress permits for that so easily by clicking FOLLOW on the reader. That’s how I follow all the lovely people here. I want to keep in touch.

The newsletter is tricky, I’m not using the WP newsletter, I tried; didn’t like it. I use Mailchimp for that. But since its Intuit purchase, Mailchimp has changed and I cannot keep up. But I’m still here. I mention this about Mailchimp because you mentioned signing up to my newsletter. It appears that link is broken–I wondered about that because I’ve had a very dry spell–Please, Miriam, did you get an acknowledgement after you subscribed? A welcome message? Did you get a free story?

I got no notice that someone signed up. sad. Please use this sign up form instead, dear one as I TRY TO FIX that broken link… Thanks.

Thanks for the sweet comment. I hope you find it soon. Meaning, that they remove that temporarily out of stock notice and provide the book already. 🤨
      Blessings you twice over. Xo

Thanks for letting us know, dear Lauren. It saddens me this is happening to such a lovely person.

      I hope it clears soon.
Like I said it shows as out of stock for me but yesterday I went ahead and placed my order. It went through only they couldn’t provide a date of delivery. 🤷🏽‍♀️
They must be so busy SOOOO BUSY! So many good books popping up every minute. I just cannot keep up. I might explode 🤯— so much to read so little time!
      Blessings ✨
