A Shadorma Sequence To Enrapt You In Splendor

At the Skeptic’s Kaddish Website this week, the honor of PoW goes to Murisopsis
for her gorgeous sonnet, ‘Looking at the Time’. Congratulations!!

Murisopsis’ prompt guidelines

  • Write a Shadorma of a minimum of 2 stanzas on the topic of strength (physical,
emotional, mental, ethical, or of character…)
    • A shadorma is a poem comprised of six-line stanzas with a syllable count
of three syllables in the first line, five in the second, three in the third and
fourth lines, seven in the fifth, and five in the sixth. (3/5/3/3/7/5) for a
      total of 26 syllables.

A shadorma sequence it is!

((I promise you, the syllabic count is precise)).

She’s fidgety and with a short attention span
Time passes as fast as a hummingbird flutters
At times like today, she feels like a hummingbird
gladly returning to her favorite flower.
