We Are The World: Listen, #Lanterne Series #Tankatuesday #Specificform

LISTEN

dream
of green
the bough says
sees her leaves fall
—be

bough
trembles
in the cold
but she is warm
sleep

snow
beauty
speaks to all
will you listen?
pause

pure
nature—
hear the call
the world over
peace

tread
lightly
hunt to find
each life's a star
grow

be
earth tuned
turn to green
a world awake
bliss

The TankaTuesday prompt, Prompt Challenge No. 280 this week, calls for a specific
form– Lanturne/Lanterne, a five-line verse shaped like a Japanese lantern that appears
when the poem is center-aligned. It has a syllabic pattern of 1- 2- 3- 4- 1.

Please click on the link to view examples and an explanation about the Lanterne form.
As you can see from reading mine against the explanation in that link, my first lines
are not all nouns. This break in the rules felt natural to me when I chose my theme
after reading Colleen’s lovely Prosper Lanterne Series.

Regardless, it was fun writing this, and can only hope you enjoyed reading my series of
lanterne poems. Thanks so much.

And one more thing, last week, I told you about a 3:43-long video that puts me in a
good place and shared it in its entirety with lyrics, so you get a feel for it.

Today I share the YouTube video of The CNN’ Call To Earth’ Commercial I mentioned.
This one’s less than a minute long. I believe it complements the message in the
lanterne series.

Also, spreading my wings far and wide, I’m pingback-ing this post with earthweal open
link weekend #127
. Thanks, earthweal.

Um… Er… It might seem repetitive, but I’m trying to amplify the ‘call to earth

CNN/Rolex Call to Earth commercial – featuring A Better Tomorrow – Victoria Renée

All who commented last week said they didn’t know the song, which makes me want to
share this with you more. And now, you’ve seen the commercial I see in Japan.

Hope it puts you in a good place, too.

I take it you mean the video. It IS gorgeous. Our world is something to die for.

Martin Luther said, if you have nothing worth dying for, you have nothing to live for.

Earth is worth dying for and living to protect.
      Blessings. Xoxo 💜

You did a wonderful job! So lovely. A lot of the “rules” sites don’t mention all those nouns. I don’t use them either!

Green is very good. May we all learn to recycle, reuse and provide homes for pollinators!!

Thanks for stopping. Comments mean the world to me. Won't you please leave one?
