How are you, my friends?
When I started to share my espresso moments, I expressed my desire to fill your cups with thoughts to gladden and revitalize you:
I’d like everyone who reads to come away feeling
gladdened and revitalized, like when one drinks a
sobering shot of espresso.
That is still my hope, but this week I’m not feeling too fit for much. The people in that once vibrant democracy that is Ukraine– led by a president who is Jewish, continue to suffer, and like you, my heart bleeds.
>>Make it end, I pray<<
Also, last night, my home experienced not one but two earth-shaking moments, which I’m sure you heard about: an earthquake of great magnitude. Lucky for my loved ones and me, we were spared, for the most part.
So today, I delved deep on a mental escapade, and when I resurfaced, I found I wrote my first Diatelle, and guess what, friends? It rhymes! That never happened to me before.
It’s a poem I started days ago about that man’s false justification to enter Ukraine: a peacekeeping mission to save Ukraine.
That it was imperative because some country and its allies had crossed his country’s “red lines.”
That the allies threatened his country’s historic future as a nation.
That his country has no plans to occupy Ukraine.
>>So he destroys it<<
I will try to do better next week, but if you feel like it, please express your thoughts (expresso) in the comments of this espresso or simply enjoy a cuppa with me.

Powerful Diatelle, Selma! We can’t always be happy, happy, joy, joy. Embrace your true emotions and shine the light where it needs to be seen. 🙂
Thanks for the encouraging comment, dear Yvette. I appreciate you. xoxo
I’m so glad you guys are okay, Selma – and, yes, our hearts bleed for the peoples of Ukraine and Russia both 🙁
Also – your throwaway comment about accidentally rhyming really amuses me!
Much love,
David
Thanks for the comment, David. I started the diatelle a few days ago but the rhyming proved problemsome. That part of my brain abandoned me 😊 Still, glad you smiled. xoxo
I’m so relieved to hear that you and your loved ones are okay – shaken, and frightened, I’m sure – but okay. Thank the heavens it wasn’t worse and nothing terribly catastrophic came of this event. (((((((((((Selma))))))))))))
And yes, prayers for peace – for Ukraine and Russia (how vulgar and base a man who despises his own people, which is testament to his ruthless nature, absolute no regard for human life, regardless of nationality) – and may we pray for an end to all global conflicts. Blood is red – regardless of culture or nationality.
I felt that squeeze, Dear friend. Bless you.
We had setbacks but nothing comparable those poor people in Europe. Let’s all pray Putin stops the war— only he can do it. What a brute! Bully!!
Stay well and know you are loved. by me xoxo
