Pankaj’s prompt guidelines
- Write a sonnet or any other 14-line poem about “The concept of time and how it affects our lives.”
We’re ready–ready to learn if it doesn’t take time
“Either run the day, or the day runs you .”

With plans aplenty, he tackles time
filling each crevice and crack
and grins enflamed with all he gains
tick tock, tick tock, the genre du jour.
Twenty-one hours later, he stands back:
look how much he has achieved!
Who needs to sleep when times are good?
No time for the changing of the guards.
The man might scoff and bleat in silence:
exhaustion is an old lady;
a robber of time, at best--
time is hot when you're making money...
Time's the only capital man has;
the lady will teach him to run it.
