Hotel de los corazones rotos–The hotel of broken hearts
Hello, my precious Readers. Every day brings me more instances that make my cup
run over with gratitude. I’m grateful to J. Re Crivello, editor-in-chief of Gobblers &
Masticadores, Barcelona, Spain, and The Hotel of Broken Hearts, for publishing my
poem in his lovely online literary magazine.
“No one who achieves success does so without
the help of others. The wise and confident
acknowledge this help with gratitude.” ~ Alfred North Whitehead.
Here are the first two stanzas of Barefoot, My Heart Leaps–This poem is my
attempt to add a sparkle to one person’s life.
First published on Medium in a beautiful publication called
Blue Insight.
*
When Earth is gray and still dressed in her twilight-blue dawn-gown
and my feet move from my bedsheets to the floor
barefoot my heart leaps out to be the first one up to greet her
to smooth away the hazy wrinkles of slumber and stardust
Then from the east, inch by inch, the sun announces its presence
sending crepuscular rays to waltz the mist maids off their feet
their satin dresses go flying in every direction
until naked, they find comfort in the underbelly of low-lying clouds
Please kindly click on the title below to continue reading the poem in its entirety:
And, then kindly return here to let me know if the person with the sparkle is you:
then I’ll know it worked.

I have never seen this one before…
Aside from Summer 2023–
Selma recently released her debut poetry collection, In The Shadow of
Rainbows. The book has been doing very well in the big world and placed
#1 in two categories on Amazon: poetry of nature and poetry of places.
For those interested, it’s also on Goodreads and Barnes & Noble.
Thanks for your support.

Glad you found value here. My pleasure doubles.
By the way, I visited your site and read your post about Stevie. Um… wanted to leave a comment but something went wrong there…
Thanks. Will check it.
And I really think you must know what I think. Here goes:
I think 🤔 that perhaps, (and I hope I don’t disappoint you too much) —perhaps your dog is, dare I say, a CAT!!
She has all the characteristics of one! 😳 there’s a cat trapped inside your dog … 🤦🏽♀️
Hello…
Are you still there?!
We often say that, too. Stevie is a cat. My son has a cat who thinks she’s a dog.
Phew 😅 so glad that you took it so well.
That was a cute story … thanks.
