Wrote a haiku about the cotton flower wilting, aged enough to explode into fluffy bolls. Also wrote about polka dotted ladies at work in limit of heat. Please enjoy.

For most people, this time of the year is a pleasant period. I close my eyes and can smell it: Sweet clementine, cinnamon, clove, and anisette cookies. But I’m nowhere close to any of those things. What do you see when you close your eyes?

I wrote you a Tanka, dear friends. The tanka, unlike the haiku, is a less rigid form, and more casual than the haiku. It allows the imagination to help the poet express feelings. Today, my subjects sing loud while the ocean is a deafening echo that sounds like peace. It's the perfect time to write a poem. Enjoy.
What a wonderful world this life is, though brief and transcendental-- Grand. Let's all zoom out, listen and look at ourselves from above — with open senses to the healing rhythm of the life that's exploding around us.
