Short On Time? Tell Me A Story: Greatest Find

From Amazon Bio

Words are like threads that when woven together with passion and
purpose can create a tapestry in which you long to wander. That
passion was ignited in me when I was a small child and continues
to burn bright even today. I was encouraged by educators who challenged
me to try and by career paths that demanded I become a proficient
wordsmith. I would like to think I have done them proud. Over the years,
I have won awards, been nominated for an EMMY for television writing,
and penned a #1 Best Selling book of poetry. My collection of books
available here on Amazon include self-help, inspirational, and of course
poetry. I have been invited to participate in anthologies and collections,
several of which are here as well. Welcome to my world of words. Should you
find something in which to lose yourself, I shall raise my glass in a toast
to your happiness. Thank you for your kind attention.

MY REVIEW ON AMAZON

If you’re running short on time *wink*, be of good cheer— for so are the shorts
in Tell Me A Story by Annette Rochelle Aben. 99 words! AND they’re complete
and sentimental. Perfect for busy readers, especially when summer calls us
outdoors. Or for any time of the year when we’re running short on time.

A few stories made me sad: Bedfellows, Dead Letters, and Hear Me Now.

The Gift, The Pact, My Guardian Angela, and Last Request made me smile and
nod, pleased. And many many of the 75 stories.

I read, pausing to consider the underlying messages that squeezed at my heart,
then read again. Splendid.

I enjoyed the vocabulary (quoted from the book):

  • the tide— sent like a taxi hailed by her heart
  • the land learned to trust her, a bond was forged
  • a world without ice would be cold
  • be it ever so humble, this is no place for gnomes
  • legs with the strength of overcooked spaghetti

You’ll find your story in one of these. Will it be Drops In The Bucket? Maybe.
But I’m sure you’ll find wisdom that’ll move you in this lovely collection of real-life
flash fiction.

I purchased the paperback, and now it’s full of pink happy faces and hearts.
This summer, get your copy of ‘Tell Me A Story in 99 words.’ Glad to have found
this great storyteller and will return to read more stories by Annette Rochelle Aben.
Happy to review this book. XoXo Selma.

Description

It has been a desire of mine since I was a young person to write stories.
I had to start somewhere, so I chose to start by writing very short stories.
That bring said, I welcome you to a collection of short stories, very short
stories as each of the stories is only 99 words in length. Meet memorable
characters. See something of yourself in many of the scenarios. Experience
a wide range of emotions. Be inspired to write stories of your own. Return
to your favorites and enjoy them again and again.

I have been inspired. I tip my hat and raise my
glass to you, my lovely friend. xoxo

Thank you both and all. I am new to this network and not to the tapestry/hammock of connections you both, or each, evoke. Happy weaving of wisdom!

Sounds like a great book Selma, but I thought I’d mention that on my iPad The lines of text in grey are always cut off, so I can’t read a full line. 🙁. WP gremlins again

Thanks for stopping. Comments mean the world to me. Won't you please leave one?
