🍁🍁🍁 The Autumn Equinox (September 22 – October 7) Shubun 秋分 🍁🍁🍁

Hello, dear friends. Firstly, I wish to extend you an invitation that was extended to
me by Colleen:

⏩ LISTEN to the 24 Japanese seasons of the year we enter the Autumn Equinox.
Listen to the 24 Seasons Podcast & read the featured poems.

It’s a tad bit long but so interesting indeed. Based on the loveliness in the
excitement I heard in that podcast I wish to share my very own, homemade
recording of one of my favorite poems of this season.
It mentions pumpkins, apples, corn, the harvest, and angels and makes me want
to hurry the season along. (which no one can).

⏩ Secondly, please LISTEN to my recording. The idea came to me after listening
to that podcast last night–thanks, Colleen, the podcast is amazing. xo

“When the Frost is on the Punkin”.

Please know that I’m having major issues with my photo file so sharing these
from WP Media file is the best I can do today for

Thanks for saying, Baydreamer friend. Bless you.

I will be absent next week. I have to fix some things that have fallen off and need to prepare for an out of town weekend conference. My first ever! I’m noivous ( 😳 ) —for one session I needed to send in two poems and prepare to offer feedback to the other 7 participants. All people I’ve never met. So yup, I’m nervous 😬
      Wish me well. Blessings.

      1. Wow, how exciting, and it’s natural to be noivous 🙂 but just breathe. You’ll do fine! Have fun and hope you’ll share how it went. 🤗🩷⭐️

The moonlight makes everything look mystical! Well done. Your image is wonderful. Well done! 🧡

    1. Selma Martin

Hey, Colleen dearest. Thanks for saying. That moon… thanks.
I’m feeling a tad bit run down 😥 so here’s a friendly FYI: I’ll be on a brief hiatus—Not sure for how long. I’ve been on the go for a while and now find the need to recharge: Regroup with my little self.
(And with the onset of another birthday, the need is strong)
      But “I’ll be back!”
      Will be doing more reading.
See you around sweet lady. 🍂 💗

I’ve seen a few dragonflies, but none like that red one there. Thanks for the reading of the verse – I enjoyed that.

    1. Selma Martin

I’m delighted you enjoyed the reading of that poem. Thanks for listening
Aka-tonbo (red-dragonfly) are sure signs of the season shifts -they’re not photogenic; always on the move 😃
      Blessings.
