I’d like everyone who reads to come away feeling gladdened and revitalized,
like when one drinks a sobering shot of espresso. Therefore, espresso is the name
I’m giving these short poems I’m about to start sharing with you.
If espresso is not what you like to consume, think of these as opportunities for
escapades to indulge in your favorite non-alcoholic drinks. After all, we want
you to be sober. *wink*
So please, share a link/pingback to your unique poetic expressions (expressos)
or espressos, or stop long enough to enjoy a cuppa with me. Here’s my first.
espresso No.1 start with humility freed, bare of vanity live each day with gratitude the code of honor exhude

The simplicity of these wonderful words have me feeling happy and in touch with myself; the poem especially is beautiful!
Aww, Jaya, my sweets. Your words have given me the encouragement I need. I appreciate you for coming to read. Have a good start to the new week. Here’s looking at you. 😉
If only the whole world could take a sip of your verses!! ☕
Take a sip, indeedy, Tricia. Thanks. And I feel the same about the words my blogger friends send gliding out into the world. Let’s keep ✍🏻
They say the pen 🖊 is mightier than the sword 🗡 and I believe ‘them.’
Blessings on your new week. 💜
🥰💖
I love it. This is such a sweet (or bitter, technically) idea, Selma!
☕
David
Thanks, David.
You got it, friend. Not sweet and if too bitter— sweet accompaniments are in the image.
I hope this new project I’m starting goes a long way.
Thanks for reading and commenting 💕
Love what you are calling them, Selma! And your first one is perfect! <3 🙂
Yvette, thanks. So glad you feel ☕️ espresso is a good name for these. And most importantly I appreciate that you read and took time to leave me a comment. These light me up every time. Thanks dearly. Blessings on your new week. xo
I raised my cup of tea to you. Wonderful 🙂
Aww, D.L. *raises cup* thanks for coming to spend a moment with me. xoxo
Wonderful poem Selma, love it 🙂
Cheers, dear friend. Thanks for stopping by. 😉 I bless you.
Espresso as a poetic form, I love it. Humility, gratitude and honor. You got that.
I think I may have inadvertently written one just yesterday. Plus there are blossoms:

Yes, I saw yours. Commented. Sakura was lovely and all the photos too. Thanks, Amiga. Be safe. ((I got your msg 😉 😘))
I love this espresso even more. ❤️
Daph 💜 glad you do. Add the sugar cube, eat chocolate if it’s too bitter. 😜 thanks.
Haha… The bitterness is the best part 😜😄
You know, Daphny: I apologize. I was sure you’d like it sweet. So glad bitter is good for you. Lovely. Come sip with me again. Anytime.
No worries Selma, there’s a story behind me not liking sweets too much haha… I would love that very much. 🤗
Love your espresso moment!
Rebecca, 😉 thanks for saying. I soooo appreciate you stopping. Be well, my sweet. I bless you. xo
Such wonderful verse to raise the coffee bar in poetry!
Nice job Selma! 👍🏼
Raise the coffee bar yes. I like my coffee strong, hehe. Hope you return often. Be well. Love all you do. Stay sweet.
💕❤️🥰
I wrote a post at one point that among other things, likened poem to a chocolate truffle (https://jewishyoungprofessional.wordpress.com/2021/11/22/the-delicious-explanation-of-why-i-dislike-micropoetry/). Now you have me envisioning poetry as dark chocolate espresso truffle. I rather like this image 😋
I read. Wow. What genius to write something like that.
I like words. Serve them to me in any way. I’m not biased. I’ll even consume it if it tastes like donuts and nothing decadent as chocolate. I will.
The only way I won’t consume if it’s sprinkled with vulgarity.
To each their own.
Thanks for linking me to this amazing post. Kudos to you. I bless you.
Thanks! I love a creative analogy, so I just ran with it.
I hear you. For all the pickiness and food/literary snobbery in the world, sometimes you just want to consume unsophisticated words/foods. I love dark chocolate truffles and hate M&Ms, but I also like plenty of uncomplicated junk food like Oreos and Twizzlers. Not everything has to be a culinary/literary masterpiece. And each to his/her own. I’ve got no problem with vulgarity/profanity sprinkles but I just don’t like donuts.
Thank you for your lovely blessings. Wishing you great poetry, rich espresso, and all other tasty delights to savor!
It was exquisite. How lovely. And u wish you the same. Blessing.
I worked in a coffee shop once… a gal ordered triple shot, followed by a double… Can you say BUZZZZ!
Waking up and being thankful for what we have is a definite plus 🙂
I did get your email… we’ve been a tad busy. I hope to get to it soon. – Thank you.
Woah, poor sister, I wonder what made her do that? It’s a tad bit too much buzzZ.
Thanks, Jules. xoxo
I could also be a tad confused and maybe it was someone else who sent me an email… 🙂
We did. We are. *wink* I bless you. xoxo
I sent a reply back… did ‘you’ get it?
