I have a great many firsts these days, and there’s something new to try everywhere I turn. (like the invitation to craft something that looked like an Instagram ‘post’ on my phone. I did. It went out, and it’s getting lots of love already. Thanks)

But I prefer what I did on this post instead. The poem above is a new form— Monotetra developed by Michael Walker. It’s a fun one I happened on today, and I hope you too find it that way.

I’m using this novel form to participate in Fandango’s One-Word Challenge on May 20, 2021, where the word of the day is “lackadaisical.”

To participate, one needs to write a post using that word— It can be prose, poetry, fiction, or non-fiction of any length. It can also be a picture or drawing.

For today, I’m using the concept of the meaning of the word in the poem along with the pictures and hope I’m not too off prompt. Do tell me what you think, please.
