A most enjoyable collection of poems and seeks to find the upliftment, or
silver lining, in the ordinary and everyday experiences of people. The poems
acknowledge human failings and short comings but seek to put them into
perspective and find the happiness and joy in life despite an imperfections
we exhibit when facing with challenges and dealing with experiences, both
good and bad.

A few short quotations from some of my favourite poems in the collection are
as follows:

"perfect speciments
of imperfection
you and I" from Give Back

"When death comes
I want to be led into eternity
curious, full of joy" from When Death Comes

"One fine day, I recognized the smell of summer,
the languid air of the somnolent noon,
so I rose and walked away from the wheelchair
hands outstretched, to the hollycocks there." from Angel August

All of us experience ups and downs in life. Anything that can help us find
perspective thereby gaining understanding and solace, is worth embracing.
This book does that.

Smitha, my sweet. It’s a joy to receive reviews. It’s not the readers job to make the writer happy but when they do it brings calm. It’s beautiful.
Thanks for being here. Happy Sunday.
And thanks so dearly for listening to me read one of my fave poems this season. Glad you enjoyed it. Xoxo

I love listening too. And lately I’ve taken to doing them. On and off. You recently did a short one. I loved it.

It was enjoyable doing that voice over for Michelle. Scary but fun. You should do more by the way. 👏🙏

I dislike listening to my voice. But sometimes we need to get out of ourselves. I have done a few. Started last year after seeing Barbara doing it to promote her book. I was so impressed.
Thanks. I’ll keep trying to do more. Xoxo blessings.

I usually don’t like the sound of my voice. 😬 This one needed to go a tad bit fast so I gave it what I thought it needed. I was quite pleased with what resulted in the first try. Didn’t want to jinx it so I kept it as is even though I stumbled with some words with lovely spelling.
I’m so happy you enjoyed it. Thanks for saying. I so appreciate this from you. Blessings, Jennifer.

No need to worry about the sound of your voice. You sounded great! Have a beautiful day, my friend.
