Hello dear friends. Have you got a minute? So, Archery In The UK, by Nick Reeves
and Ingrid Wilson doesn’t seem to want to let go its hold on me.
And I’m so excited Editor Barbara at Masticadores USA accepted my book review
with an addendum! Thanks so much, Barbara.
And the reason I’m doing this again is that I just realized I have more to say about
adult love that I wish to convey.
Because literature like this, penned like this, carries the hope of helping to
change worlds with awareness for the better.
The pen is mighty!
It’s my heartfelt hope that adding this third reason for a universal audience at
Masticadores USA, Archery In The UK, by Nick Reeves and Ingrid Wilson, will
reach a bigger audience and do what I believe this book can do: redeem us all
from the many misconceptions of pure adult love. Here’s how the review starts:
In late January, I preordered Archery In The UK, read it over the weekend, and
was just in time to post my honest review on Amazon when the book launched on
February 01st.
At the same time, I also conveyed my thoughts to the audience of my
blog, singing the book’s praises.
And while my review is genuine, I’ve come to realize I have more to say about
this gorgeous slim book of lyrical ballads. Please indulge me with an addendum
to my initial review, as I’ve added a third reason why this book is appropriately
well-timed for the times we’re living in.
As I told a prospective Amazon audience and other bloggers, Archery In The UK
curled my toes. Get this book– it will help you soften the rough edges, curl your
toes and remind you what pure love looks like.
** …it will even have you hearing Beethoven or cooing a cathedral chime **
** …if you have clumpy and jaded ideas about love, this collection will help
aspirate those hardened ideas and renew you to love’s purer meaning **
** …otherwise, you’ll find yourself InJoy with love all over again **
My lovely friends, if you read my review the first time I posted it,
Thanks. You may skip it, but if you wish to know my third reason
for being excited about Masticadores USA honoring me enormously
for publishing it, I ask you kindly continue reading
at MasticadoresUSA.
Aww, you guys, you curl my toes. Thank you.
True,—This!
Beneath the rule of men entirely great
*The pen is mightier than the sword. Behold
The arch-enchanters wand!— itself a nothing!—
But taking sorcery from the master-hand
To paralyse the Cæsars—and to strike
The loud earth breathless!—Take away the sword—
States can be saved without it![4]
“The pen is mightier than the sword” is a metonymic adage, created by English
author Edward Bulwer-Lytton in 1839, indicating that the written word is more
effective than violence as a means of social or political change.
Or, in matters of misguided projections– the pen can!
