The pale warmth of the 20-watt light bulb Barely coming through on a pitch-dark night Shines like a flare in my mind, and I gulp Lucky my feet remember the track right Opossums scurry off the graveled way Tailwind at my back helps me to glide through Perchance, a rooster sends my feet a nay yesterdays perpetuated in review Coming around a bend I see my north Haloed in golden light, to me she waves And so I hasten to reach her trice forth to breathe my home in with double inhales Nostalgia preserved in soul's labyrinth in that 20-watt bulb of home's dim warmth
Today, my dear mamá would have been celebrating her 88th birthday. And so
in her honor, I’m dedicating my sonnet No.7 to her. Happy Birthday, Mom.
And I’m sure Mom wouldn’t mind, so if it pleases you, I dedicate this one to
your mamá too. With sincere blessings for you. xo

In heaven, right? I’m sure they celebrate there too. But I imagine they count backward, though. I don’t know. I just imagine it’s that way. 😆 thanks for the comment and please overlook the tardy response. I appreciate you. 😘
