A few days ago, Stephen, the ha’sonneter extraordinaire from muttado1sb’s
website, If You Haven’t Got A Sonnet published a tender little ha’sonnet that
has lingered within me. And shame on me if I withhold this from you.
First, I’ll share Stephen’s lovely words (not my words):
Return Ticket
Little toy trains
little toy tracks
are what remains
of childhood acts
The toys from then
pulled out again
bring thoughts forgot

Please swing by Stephen’s website to read and listen to a good ol’ oldie that will
transport you to a time long ago. (hint: Glen Campbell).
And now mine– these are my words:
The Child Within
Little toy drums
Play in my dreams
Little toy horns
I hear ‘mid screams
I rise to find
Inside my mind
A child resides

Hey, friends. You may be prompted to give it a try too. Let me know if you
do so I can read and share it as well.
As for the main foto, blame it on the stars. I’m trying to understand how it projected
that way: I tried for a panorama, and that was the result. Perhaps I moved too fast
for the phone to read the scene correctly. Dunno! Still, I like the result as it
alerts me to a child residing within that person. Do you see it differently? Please
share.
Conversely, if you ASK the shadow, it will not know what you’re talking about: the
shadow is complete; whole!
Thanks for your visit today. I wish you miracles this new month that will get us
closer to spring. Yup, spring, dear people. Blessings.

Both poems are so sweet and beautiful. I can’t see your image, perhaps because I’m in a car. Will try again later
Thanks for liking the poems, dear Sadje. Glen’s lovely Christmas song has much to do with the sweetness you perceived and carry within YOUR lovely soul, dear Sadj 💕 Bless you.
Thanks my friend
This is indeed a very interesting shot. 👏🏼
Interesting shot, right?! Imagine my surprise when I zoomed in on the fresh photo and saw that. But then, today’s poem seemed a good fit for it. Hope you agree. Blessings, again. XoXo
Oh yes it fits perfectly.
Both the poems spoke to the child in me. Lovely, Selma and thanks for sharing Stephen’s poem.
That is an amazing shot!
Glad you liked the words, dear one.
And that photo— yes, it’s something else 👀
Bless you 💕
❤️❤️
Both the poems love. Amz words write in poem. I like. I have never seen anything before.
First poems of the morning and a quirky photo. You’ve set the perfect tone of what will be a very busy day. Selma. I will need some child-like energy today! The roofers are coming, the landscaper is coming to remove a fallen tree, and Robert and I will go to meet his new cardiologist! Hope your day is smooth sailing! <3
You have a long day ahead of you today, Cheryl. I’ll say a prayer for you before bed. May all you need to get done get accomplished the way you expect.
Glad mine were the first poems today.
Yeah that photo: quirky.
Thanks for reading and commenting. Means the world to me. Blessing you guys today. XoXo
Hopefully we never lose that child. (K)
Hopefully. Thanks for reading, K. Blessings to you b
A lovely share, Selma, and I must try out this form sometime: it does appeal to me! 🪶
A ha’sonnet— I want to see it. 😊 warning: it’s addictive. Watch out.
Wonderfully lovely poem, Selma! I’m happy my poem led you to write it! 😁 And that is a fantastically quirky photo that complements it perfectly! And thanks for including my poem, it does make a great pair with yours. 🙂
Stephen my dear, from the contents, I knew this was you. I know and trust Jetpack will fix it in no time. I’m also using the new app. Thanks for the response, dear friend. I bless you.
There is something quite appealing about the rhythm and rhyme of these poems. I am also drawn to try it out. Thanks for sharing Stephen’s poem. Words have the power to create a kinder, softer world. xoxo
I love these two poems, Selma, yours and Stephen’s. They are beautifully written; both spoke to me and brought out my inner child. And that image; that’s remarkable! I’ve never seen anything like that before. Xx 💖
love the play off both of your well done poems Selma! ❣️
Stephen is amazing. He makes me want to try. And seeing as I like Christmas I had to give this one a try. Glad you liked, Cindy.
