My Funny Valentine
I knew you before I met you
I felt you deep inside my soul
You lived nuzzled in my best dreams
In moon shadow, you followed me ’round
I’d sit there smiling at nothing,
cheeks glowing with low orange light
Taking deep savoring breaths-full
Daydreaming your leg touching mine
I wrote you poetry, doodled hearts, blew you kisses
Gave you a pet name, declared you my own
You spoke to me through love songs on the radio
With a racing pulse, to you, I drew near
We canoodled in rapturous stolen moments
Sending flutters that lingered all day long
I felt safe with you: whole, appreciative
All this long before I even met you.
Love is the thing that awakens your senses. It’s the sun, present to witness a
perfect bud blossom. But love needs to be nurtured first. In quiet moments
where you easily imagine the kind of love, you’re capable of giving.
For love is about giving; not the other way around.
Imagining the love you
want to give materializes love.
And because love belongs to the side of us that’s pure,
finding awe in the world
you live in makes love even grander.
I hope that when love arrives, everything in you is in awe of the world.
Recognize the signs
and
sit where love is sure to find you.

I think every day is a day of love. NOT just one day a year. Life is too short, so tell those that can handle the word “love” that you DO love them. I do note that there are some that do not know what love truly is, and can misundertsand your words. I love you, my friend! <3

Great message that love is about giving. I think I was in love with the idea of love very young and there’s nothing wrong with that. We dream of what we want and have patience our dreams will turn into reality! I do feel like the vibrations of love attracts, so being a loving person is sure to snag more of it! 💘
