My soul mate's bandwidth rocks me. Soaring jointly, sky-bound we go. The stories I start he can conclude for me. Memory keeper. In my life, an ace I will keep: a slow dance with my husband.
I stole away to write a sijo to commemorate an anniversary dance that
spans thirty-two years today because I want to share my happiness with you.
I hope you enjoy my intimate offering of a happy milestone in my ordinary life.
The SIJO (pronounced SHEE-jo) is a traditional three-line Korean poetic form typically exploring cosmological, metaphysical, or pastoral themes. Organized both technically and thematically by line and syllable count, sijo are expected to be phrasal and lyrical, as they are first and foremost meant to be songs.
The first line, usually written in a 3-4-4-4 grouping pattern, states the theme The second line, usually written in a 3-4-4-4 pattern (similar to L1) is an elaboration The third line is divided into two sections. The first, the counter-theme, is grouped as 3-5, the second, considered the conclusion, is written as 4-3.
- I really like the three-beat start of the lines
- I particularly like the syllabic restriction

Oh, yes, for sure, for sure. It hasn’t always been smooth, believe me. Nothing ever is. But we are soulmates that started as a long distance relationship. I never knew– how could I, right? But I/we gave it our all. Treated our relationship like it was the most fragile of ephemeral things and it has been the journey of our lives. Next week our oldest son is getting married and we cannot be happier. (this is one reason I’m so busy right now//the other reason is the overseas trip that’s making me break out in hives…) Anyway, just sharing because I care. Stay sweet Thanks for the lovely congratulatory message. I will hold it close to my heart. xoxo Thanks for the lovely support.
Happy Anniversary! When you find that one soulmate, life becomes a delightful adventure through the ups and downs, ins and outs, always holding tight.
So very true, what you say, Kathryn. And I know you know… I bless you. Happy Writing. Happy May.
God Bless your love! <3
Annette, dearest. Thanks for leaving me such lovely message. Life has been a blessing. I wish it for everyone in every “I wish you miracles” blessing I send. Stay sweet, my lovely angel. I bless you too.

Oh yes, it is wonderful indeed. I wish it for everyone. It’s so achievable. And I love sharing from this well that sustains me. Like “intel inside,” I make sure to include one such prayer in every every “I wish you miracles” blessing I send to all. Thanks for reading, and you know IWYM xo

Happy Anniversary. My hubby and I celebrate twice a year… once on the day we were enganged, an then when we married 😀
We generally don’t make a big deal over any holiday, birthdays or anniversaries. We would like to think everyday is special.
And if it is with the one you love, then every day is wonderful and wonderfilled!
Wonderful AND wonderfilled for sure. You say it right. Thanks for reading, liking and commenting with a lovely message, dear Jules. Stay sweet. xoxo
…Now if I could only dance…But all we have to do is stand close and sway… 😉 💖
