blent in,
ponderous and
beautiful
The Whale
turned to
me
showed me
the future-
at once
beckoning
laughing,
and I
felt
love
grew infinitely wide
brightness moved into me
wrapped around me
I floated
in darkness
rose slowly
—breathing softly
air tasted so sweet.

My baby, my debut poetry collection, In The Shadow of Rainbows, is about to turn One year old.
What is a new author supposed to do if not shamelessly promote her book? Well, here I am, shamelessly promoting…
Let me know if you haven’t read it yet and we will fix that.

the gap, the pauses are like the breaking of whales to the surface. Really well done Selma – and wishing you large sales for your ‘baby’ turned 1.

As for the book, it’s not sales I’m after. 🙂↔️ will tell you more later. 🤗
