The young'uns feel they're running out of time so they live fast, on-off track with the tide conquering badges: YOLO for to do any less would bring FOMO and yet they neglect the sublime the young'uns again missed the rhymes of songbirds stood in crooked lines with impassioned whoa-oh-ohs like Bono the young'uns don't feel they can save up their efforts like dimes if only they'd change the design for their sake-- put down the phono and in breathy, subdued tones, say oh, no! We see the confine and heed the divine-- young'uns indeed do feel
DR. JANE GOODALL QUOTES:
“Fortunately, nature is amazingly resilient: places we have destroyed,
given time and help, can once again support life, and endangered species
can be given a second chance. And there is a growing number of people,
especially young people, who are aware of these problems and are fighting
for the survival of our only home, Planet Earth. We must all join that fight
before it is too late.”
“Young people, when they understand the problems, are empowered to
take action. When we listen to their voices (they) actually are changing the
world and making it better for people, for animals, and for the environment
because everything is interconnected.”

Excellent, Selma! A great message!
Hey, Michele. Thanks so much for being here and appreciating the message. We need to trust our young ones will do better than we have. They must and we must let go and trust. Thanks for the visit. xoxo
Hey, Selma. You are welcome. I believe in our youth – working with 1,000s of them thru the years gave me/gives me hope. There are some amazing young people out there! 🤗
This is clever and amusing. I’m in my 30s and I heartily dislike young people, actually. But I enjoyed your poem.
Hey, JYP, Thanks for reading. You are young: 30 is still young. So sorry you feel that way about the young people around you. I have confidence they, meaning you too, will do what my generation hasn’t been able to accomplish. I need to trust this feeling. Beforehand, thanks.
Thanks too, for still finding the poem enjoyable. I bless you. Stay sweet. xoxo
I think we underestimate young people and they do have potential to change and save the planet.
Absolutely, Sadje, they have potential. They have witnessed our failures, they must be better problem solvers. If not them, who else do we have? No one but them to save the planet. Thanks for seeing the value in my words. Blessings on all your endeavors. xoxo
You’re most welcome Selma. Our hopes ride on the shoulders of our new generation.
The young generation impresses me immensely with their approach and energy, the enthusiasm to do something big. I enjoyed this poem.
Like you, I am impressed by their keen intuition and energy. I think they come better prepared too: they’ve seen us failing a lot, they must have better ideas on how to fix the mess we’ve made. I believe in the young. Thanks for adding your voice here. So kind of you. I bless you.
We must not expect them to do it alone though. (K)
Oh no, not alone. We are still here. The way I see it, they have seen how terribly we have failed so their intuition and enthusiasm could serve for the better good. I have hope. Not alone, they cannot, we are still here and hope to be for a bit longer… hehehe. xoxo
You’ve summed it up perfectly Selma 😊
Thanks, Deb. I thought so too. Our young are trustworthy. I believe this. Thanks for reading and commenting. I bless you.
Lovely poem, Selma!
Thanks, sweet Punam. I appreciate the support. Blessings, dearie. xo
Always a pleasure. xoxo
Beautiful lines yes the future depends on the young generation so it’s very necessary to change their attitude. Good message well shared thanks 😊👍
Thanks, Priti. The young, they come with ‘intel’ inside: the kind that we need for humankind. We need to show the young ones we believe in them. So glad you liked the message. Thanks for reading and commenting. Blessings.
Yes absolutely! I am pleased stay happy 😊🥰
Sending love and hope x
Dearest one. I am sending same: love and hope your way, as well. Stay in the light. I bless you.
I’m sitting here with a smile. Of late, hubby and I are noticing the generation gap more and more! Great message, Selma 💕🙂
Generation gap? You guys are funny. Still young, you two, but it’s true — the young ones are growing up too soon. They come with great ideas and grown up bodies already. And all tech is second nature to them as well. We need them. And we are still here to do some more guiding. Thanks for commenting, Harmony. I bless you. And for sharing on twitter. I’m grateful to you. xoxo
😂💖
This is such an encouragement to read Selma 💞
Oh, my sweet, so glad this one encouragement went straight to your heart. We need you young ones more than ever. Tell your friends. Thank your friends for me. I bless you. Always and forever. xoxo
I will for sure and thank you for encouraging us to do more, your kind words are what keeps us growing. Thank you, I bless you too dearest Selma. xoxo
so well done Selma!
💖👏👏
Hey, Cindy dear. Thanks for reading. XO
You’re so welcome! 💖
Technology is as much a hinderance as a help. We all need to slow down and take the time to smell the roses and listen to the bees in the trees! 😉
I agree. We need to stop and renew our souls sails. And to listen. Thanks Jules. xoxo
