That is a powerful message. I wonder how it was perceived by viewers/voters.
Hardly 2 years after the international missile scare— that defining 35-day of confrontation between the USA and Soviet Union that could have gone to full scale nuclear war— I imagine people were very attuned to implications in that message.
Today, Russia is still at it! And we are still far from loving each other. God save us! Watching that gave me chills!
Thanks for reading and responding, Michele Lee. Bless you always.
Articulated response. 🙏🏻 Thanks so much, smart and sweet Selma, and yes that was a chilling video. 😢 Abundant blessings to you. 🌻
No progress since then that I can see…in fact, it seems we are moving backward.(K)
Just like you say, K. No progress in the SIX decades since. God help us. Thanks for the comment, K. blessing you. xoxo
tell telling and chilling then and now dear Selma! 💗
Thanks for responding to that. I hope we learn. But this is chilling for real! Xoxo
It really is and I hope so too! 💗
What a terrifying video, Selma. I’ve never seen it before. It really sends the message home, although, as you and some of your readers have said, what has changed since then? Not a lot. The world is a very scary place to live in these days. I fear most for my children and grandchildren, not so much for myself. Even though the video is short, it contains an extremely important message that we all need to hear, especially the powers that be. Thank you for sharing this essential-to-watch piece of film. Xx 💕🌼💕
I’m so happy you found value in this, sweet lady. Bless you.
It’s like the human species as a whole is trying to climb a mountain, but we keep slipping back down, climbing and slipping, over and over. I love Rumi’s message. We need miracles, and we need to SEE the miracles of love.
We’re not doing too well collectively. We need to see ourselves in the community. Hope we get there soon. Because we ARE smart. 👏
It’s easy to drift into complacency, but every now and then, the threat of nuclear war rears its ugly head! Love the video! Too bad it’s still timely! Great post, Selma! <3
