The Timely Sageness Of American Activist, Rosa Louise McCauley Parks — An Espresso

Hi friends? I’m still beaming with happiness from recent events. Perhaps I’ll post some
photos in my next newsletter. We’ll see.

Moving along: Remember those positive vibes I asked you to channel in my direction?
They’ve arrived– Yay! and the trip abroad that I ‘dreaded’– guess what, it’s not
happening. And I attribute this to your timely good wishes. Totally, cool, all of you.
Got my miracle! Thanks so much.

Two roses, one pink, one peach. Lovely
These ruffly, delicately created beauties are for you. Ah, and the fragrance… inhale it. xoxo

Here’s another post on the practice I started shortly before embarking on the 30-day challenge in April. Espresso is the name I decided on these short morsels of wisdom I wish to share. They’re my humble attempt at helping you feel gladdened and revitalized, and yes, sobered like when one drinks a shot of espresso.

If espresso is not what you like to consume, think of these as opportunities for
escapades to indulge in your favorite non-alcoholic drinks. After all, we want
you to be sober. *wink*

Another wish is that you will share some of your short wisdom with me:
a link/pingback to your unique expressions (expressos) or espressos, or
linger long enough to enjoy a cuppa with me.

How musn’t you feel when you’re doing the right thing?

Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was an American activist in the civil rights movement.
She’s best known for her pivotal role in the Montgomery bus boycott.
The United States Congress has honored her as “the first lady of civil rights” and “the mother of the freedom movement.”

People always say that I didn’t give up my seat because I was tired,
but that isn’t true. I was not tired physically, or no more tired than
I usually was at the end of a working day. I was not old, although
some people have an image of me as being old then. I was forty-two.
No, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in.

I wish to highlight two lovely bloggers who have decided to join me here with morsels
of wisdom this week. It would please if you visited them too to continue spreading good

Awww … Selma, what beautiful roses and the fragrance is divine! ❤️ Have a fantastic trip abroad and I’m glad it is working out for you. Is it far? Will you be away a long while? I was very worried about my first flight abroad since 2020 and in the end it went brilliantly. The airport was quite a bit quieter than usual, the staff great and a relaxed calm atmosphere – it was amazing to be in Sweden and I felt so rejuvenated! I love the quotes from Rosa Parks and she featured in a wonderful book I read recently – her action on the bus being the catalyst of change for the main character in ‘The Girl at the Back of the Bus’ by Suzette D. Harrison.

WordPress has been unfriendly for me these days. But I have confidence they’ll straighten things out in no time. Gosh. Forgive the late response. Thanks for being here, Annika dearest. Well, you see, the trip is not happening this month or next. It had to be an immediate one at that. And I had to go alone… But it’s not happening at the moment. Which makes me happy indeed. Taiwan… Glad yours was fantastic.
Thanks for sharing your experience with me. And that book too. Sounds like one I would enjoy. Thanks and glad you are doing well. Stay well, please. I wish you miracles.
