The Owl and the Jaguar went to Sea in a beautiful pea-green bathtub They took some wine and plenty caviar wrapped in newspaper and twine Owl looked up to the star-spangled sky and strummed on a Spanish guitar "Oh lovely Jaggy, Oh Jaggy, my love what a beautiful big cat you are. You are, You are! What a lovely big cat you are!" Jaguar said to the owl, "You halfwit buffoon, how charmingly sweet you love me-- Oh, let me serenade you." He grabbed the strings that she carried. "But first, let us eat the caviar," he roared. So Owl unwrapped their meal with much flair and dance by and by, they reached the land where palm trees grow. And there in a wood a dumb-looking piggy did stare but not for too long-- he shot out of there My gosh, how he ran. He ran,he ran! Smart Pig. *** Owl and Jaguar went out to Sea in a beautiful pea-green rowboat They took plenty of wine and beluga caviar wrapped in newspaper and twine The owl looked up at the evening stars and strummed on the Spanish guitar While Jaguar rowed he marked with one eye the silhouette of Owl from afar Jag growled, Owl shy-smiled. In turn, it came time for Owl to row so Jaguar could reboot with a Cuban cigar But Jag took the guitar started a riddle song that put Owl in a state of conundrum 'Twas so bizarre Owl started to shake when Jag was her longtime superstar Owl tittered, Jag thunder-roared. But she stomped her good foot to shake off the scare opened the wine (with panache) like waitresses do at Zanzibar Famished to the point of being uncouth pointing to Owl, the shooting star, Jag directly got on with his wicked deed Swiftly he danced to the light of the moon, the moon, the moon. He danced and serenaded the moon. Then belching an indecorous yuk-- a snirtle here, a snigger there Jag rowed, replete shouting to the stars, "Au revoir!" *** © 2021 selmamartin.com
