I wrote this poem before consulting with Sammi for the Weekend Writing Prompt.
And so when I did check, I had to shorten my short poem. I hope you enjoy them.
Weekend Writing Prompt #369 – Spoonful
(lovely serendipity)
Scoop a spoonful of sunshine
Add a sliver of last night’s moon
Sprinkle a dusting of silliness
Gulp it down like one fine-tuned
Watch the stars sweep through the room
Wrapped inside the finest tissue paper
Untie the spider web ribbons with care
The rainbow remedy of the day savor
(51 words)
A spoonful of sunshine
A sliver of moon
Dust it with silliness
Very quickly consume
Watch the soft-landing of stars
Wrapped in fine tulle
Relish the remedy du jour
--Repeat as needed
