That February A Mother Was Born

February Jubilation

Little human,
Pygmyhertz
no bigger
than a minute—
more precious
than the air
I inhale
you fit so
snug in the
cusp of my arm
yesterday
or day before.
February
was cold
but you brought
warmth and I
will never forget
how since that day
and through the years
you upgrade
my frequency

Today is the day I became a Mother and there isn’t a day that has blurred the bliss of this blessing: the best job in the world, ever!

XoXoXo 🤗

Happiest, nothing compares to it—well, there came another baby that helped re-live the joy. But this day marked the beginning so it’s unforgettable.

Parenthood is not easy, but it is meaningful. My late husband, who was a very amazing and accomplished man, said being a parent was his most important job. Congratulations, Selma!

    1. Selma Martin

It is the most important! A gift like not other. Parenthood is tops.
We usually say we raise children but really, children raise us: make us aware of things we wouldn’t “normally” notice. They raise our frequency!! Make us so much more attuned to life.
This relationship is so important for growth. Thanks for being here, dearest Cheryl. Xoxo be well.
