Stay Curious for One Day If You Must #Quadrille

Feeling the seams tearing away?

you need a serious day of play.

Like, word of the day–

prompt or sway

or perhaps

strong vitamin K–

Cabernet? Beaujolais?

Matinee or reggae?

Let’s all tarry awhile,

paint it curious for today;

tomorrow

we’ll rhyme away.

***

For Monday, May 31st, the good folks at dVerse have a fun prompt in Quadrille #129: A Curiosity of Poems. A quadrille limits me to 44 words, but still, I had a ball, curiously fitting the words in rhyme for this short form. Read between the lines if you must. *wink*

Today, I want you to get curious. Let your curiosity get the best of your
muse. I hope that you are curiously intrigued. Yes, for this week’s poem,
take any form of the word curiosity you wish, and plant it firmly in your
piece. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but today it’s going to build the poem.
So open up your favorite curio cabinet of most fabulous words and
phrases, and have a ball.

New to the Q and still curious what to do?
Just compose us a poem of exactly 44 words, not counting the title, and
including some form of the word CURIOSITY(curious, curiousness, curiouser,
etc). Post it on your own blog, and then link up using Mr. Linky below. Once
your poem is written, be sure to explore the delightful and curious worlds of
other poets’ blogs. The Q is up all week long, so be sure to let your
curiosity get the best of you, and come back for another visit!

Right you are, claret would have kept the rhyme going. Infact, yes, why not a lovely claret? Thanks for the comment, Bjorn.
