On the first day of November
As swallows twitter high up in the skies
And barr-ed clouds burst forth in rosy hues
The red-breasts tootle notes in treble cries
Reminding me that Fall has music too
Season of mists and slant maturing sun
You douse the apples from a unique angle
And woo the bees—artless like a nun
So at ease they stay awhile to sample
You soft-lift my hair with your flirty wind
drowsed with fumes of every earthy color
And like a sacrament you help my mind
To make more of the season I adore
Eager I wait for the days to flower
Patient I watch the oozing every hour

Eager I wait for this glorious month to flower
Patient, I watch the oozing every hour
It’s the first of November and I’m so ready for all the blessings that will
come for us this month.
The soon-to-be mom and dad are calm and composed. And so are the
grandparents-to-be. We won’t let anything get between us and the beauty
uncoiling under our roof. Thanks for the prayers for a safe delivery.
I’ve scheduled a handful of posts and will read yours
and respond as time allows me.
Thanks for being here.
I bless you all.

It is a wonderful thing to be a grandparent, and it only seems like yesterday that my granddaughter was born. Now she is a little person in her own right, with a brilliant sense of humour, and a kind heart.
This is something big to look forward to. And I love to know how you feel about it, dear Diana. I’m ready for this new stage. Bless your heart. xoxo
