A thought in favor of lonely, young people everywhere
A break from the ‘norm’ that’s been her pampered life
with absent parents jetting to exotic places
the big house to herself
full staff for her needs
chauffering her back and forth
The lonely Li’l Miss smiles tonight
Ruefully, the unlimited Visa-card moans; discarded
no thoughtless shopping
no boredom fillers
no bad decision-making
This weekend The Parents are home for a change
Now, if only they’d talk to The Miss, show interest in her life
There’d be one less lonely teenager in the world tonight.
