I saw this dVerse prompt posted by Grace the other day and thought of
participating. But the Linky expired two days ago.
I post it for your enjoyment and warm delight anyway. Thanks, Grace.
The elements of the Magic 9 are:
*a poem in 9 lines
*meter and line-length at discretion of poet
*rhyme, a-b-a-c-a-d-a-b-a, with c and d, unrhymed
Tip: One way to get started is to make a list of end words.
abacadaba, ABACADABA
When you get to the edge of the night
And the darkened walls fall asunder
The folds of night's robe fills with delight
As all boundaries have disappeared
Feel no fright, no reason for a fight
Earth reverts to her ancient whole shape
No crime exists under the moonlight
Engage with your soul and surrender
For posterity you stand upright

No effort can prolong the daylight
No two days can ever be the same
Nothing is hidden from moon’s keen sight
To nature’s playground Night reverts all
Tell it to the kids with bright delight
Tell it to your heart with wonderment
That Night restores creatures of the night
With ease He has memorized your name
Keeping the pledge assuredly tight

I hope you enjoyed my first abacadabas 🙇🏽♀️
