For Frank’s Haibun Monday at dVerse: Breathe
We gathered for the silent retreat aptly called “nothing or everything.” It focused
on three things: to promote stillness to develop a deeper relationship with
ourselves and our Higher Power, to clear our minds of noise pollution by
refocusing the energy devoted to communicating with others inward, and to
reveal the prominence our breaths played in sharpening our mental acuity:
everything we are resides inside.
sacred immensity
in the latitude within
breathe in and out
For the duration of that weekend, we were advised to channel our communication
inward to interact with the divine that resided within but with whom we were
gravely estranged.
The exercise got me in touch with my thoughts and I found I focused more and more
on my moment-to-moment emotions.
my here and now lives
in the expanse of nothing
and everything

Ingrid, yes. Worthwhile. How often are we afforded such practice. It’s surely a good reintroduction to ourselves. I loved it. I think you’d love it too. Certainly. xo
So very descriptive on how meditation works. I have never really experienced it.
It works.
Happy for your presence. Thanks for reading. Xoxo
Very simply but sounded,Selma!
A simple pleasure. And yes, it’s a lasting sound one too. Thanks Raj.
Welcome, Selma 🤠
Selma, I appreciate your detailed sharing of your process and the wisdom you gleaned from the retreat. There is a lot to be said for silence. Chatter of all kinds can be draining.
Thanks for reading, sweet Lisa. Stay warm my friend.
