Kermit’s Advice to COP26 Leaders Assembled in Glasgow #TankaTuesday

Written for Colleen Chesebro’s Word Craft: Prose & Poetry, Poet’s Choice.
Today, world leaders are assembled to ponder on the state of our world’s
condition (you know the story). It’s everyone’s story. The health of the earth
depends on us.
Nature! If this isn’t our worthiest of causes, I don’t know what is.
So in my choice for today I’ve selected the brevity of a 3-5-3 SENRYU:

SENRYU poetry deals with the human condition. Focus on sexual matters,
family relations, religion, politics, and anything that touches on the
pain we experience through sorrow, prejudice, oppression, anger, and
frustration.
Humor and sarcasm are two of the most favorable elements in a senryu.
No title.

In the humor of the photo subject I chose to complement the senryu, I hope
this post comes full circle and touches all our hearts.

being green--
it's not easy stuff
but we must!

Hehe. Wisdom of the day I found in that green frog. Like Snoopy’s wisdom I dig this puppet character. There’s genius behind the words. (They’re not mine) be well, Ingrid. Sending you good healing vibes.

So HERE is the cutie pie Kermit! 😀 I absolutely love his advice. How true it is, that being green is not easy at all. Consciously and unconsciously both.
Kermit is a Buddha frog 😀

Um… for making me think. For being you— the beautiful human you are. And the amazing heart that ticks inside your chest. For all that, hats off to you.

For your diplomatic comment eventhough you’re the most considerate person and love the natural world and our Earth so much, yet for sharing your views in the most respectful and respectable manner, hats off to you!

Hiiii. Hey, Sam, *wink* I know exactly what you mean when you say: “How true it is, that being green is not easy at all. Consciously and unconsciously” Indeed, it IS NOT EASY. Change is never easy. I really appreciate your words on this one (and all the others, haha)– you are a real, one-of-a-kind jewel. Thanks for reading and commenting.

Hiiii, Colleen. cute and humorous– that’s what I was going for in the brevity of the poem. Thanks so much for visiting and giving it your blessing. I bless you.

That’s perfect for senryu! Originally senryu were humorous and filled with sexual innuendo. I’ve read they were pretty raunchy too! 🤣

Oh, I am a big Kermit fan!!! I’ve got a Kermit I can pose… I’ve also got one in a box – in a tux!

I wrote about a frog today too; Ranid Returns

There is much we individually can do. Respecting nature is just a start. Once I did some ‘Plogging’ Picking up trash (while jogging) though I was walking! 💚
