Ha’Sonnet: Delight Of Flight–October

—Delight Of Flight—

And when death comes
To take you home
You’ll fight, you’ll moan
You’ll come undone.
To the unknown
You go alone
A flight of fright

~ Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest
loss is what dies inside us while we live* ~

So when death comes
To transport you
Let go of qualms
And just go through
You came alone
To this unknown
Delight, requite

  2. That’s beautiful, cara. A long time ago when I was much younger, death and dying frightened me. Not any longer. I have made my peace. 😌
