Hand Over The Crown And Go South #RDP #Espinela

replete from her last dalliance
September bowed to October
who at crown-ceding turned nobler
with hand on chest, vowed competence

cheers, said ochre-month with finesse
September, laughter-prone, stepped back
in her hair hung loose cryptic sacks
of dainty feathers-- lucky charm
to embolden and keep her warm
stellar memories, happy acts

*

vibrant young lass now enfeebled
September bowed and ceded crown
October took it sitting down
pressed her hand to chest, emboldened

cheers said October delighted
smile waned, September stepped aside
ran she to Gust to bump a ride
goodbye, the duo headed south
festive songs spilled forth from their mouths
cryptic exchange, but no one cried

For the Sunday prompt word at the Ragtag Community where the word is cryptic, and
my first (double) Espinela form that was inspired by The Mouse. Thanks so much.

Masterpiece, this one! It’s like you took us to the coronation of October. Such brilliant personifications. Exquisite verses! 👌💕

Paying homage to the months. I’m so pleased you liked that, Shell. Be well. Here’s a friendly hug…

The crowning of October!!!! Although you probably are not much familiar with the Durga puja festival (Woriship of Goddess Durga) of Bengalis in India, your words carried that vive perfectly, the vive of October!!! Autumn sky and the golden sun! In fact, today is the first day of ‘matriarchal fortnight’ as it is celebrated here with the prayers for the ancestors (in the holy river).
It’s still raining here, now and then, which is unusual, but felt the spirit through your poetry!

      How cool is that!
And some think we’re not connected!? Ha! We are connected.
Happy celebrating. Here’s looking at you. 👏

        It is cool✌
Well, I am going to celebrate this year in my room with my laptop and books! Exams chasing and so is my unbeatable procrastination😂

And also, I tried to share your bolg, ‘Chances are, you’re the reason for the celebration’ but I think its on your Medium page and I did not get it here, I loved the excerpt you shared!

Thanks for stopping. Comments mean the world to me. Won't you please leave one?
