I heard Hope clearly call my name
Her whisper, close yet far
Gently, I pulled open the shade
A bluebird met my eye
The background music of her peers
Seemed to tell her to bide
So little bluebird held my gaze
I opened window wide
She curtsied before entering
My small humble abode
And circled once and with keen eye
A spider--soon she found
Promptly she flew, same as she came
And left me in a daze
I waved goodbye, searching the sky
Fields of ivory Queen Anne's lace
