Happy New Year š„³ and may this be the most joyous start of all starts.
Hello friends. If you read me on Instagram youād know I was reading FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD by Thomas Hardy.
Published on 23 November 1874
The novel is set in Thomas Hardy’s Wessex in rural southwest England
I love this Victorian literary era poet and novelist
Aside: I love John Ernst Steinbeck, especially for The Grapes of Wrathājust sayinā
Late to opening the book I acquired years and years ago, Iām happy to inform you Iāve completed the 444-page novel. Oh my! I didnāt know I didnāt know Gabriel Oak.
But now I do. And what homage to Oak Hardy wrote as Chapter 1! I fell in love with Angel Gabriel from the get go. Also Loved Chapter 50 where all the characters populate one scene. Loved all the chapters for their descriptions. Oh my, I dawdled to get to this book but now I must hurry to read it again.
Let me share these pages to ātryā to entice youā¦ (if you havenāt touched your copy).
