WDYS # 246

Sadje says: Does this picture inspire you to write something?

For the visually challenged reader, this image shows a white wolf standing in a foggy
forest, with white light illuminating it from behind.

Waiting for your responses.

halos of gray mist
like flags of supplication–
the brilliance of dawn

dyed in evanescence,
soaked in the balm of nature
–I prefer slow starts

A Little Extra:

Nothing Gold Can Stay

BY ROBERT FROST

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

and Grace Notes. New York: Henry Holt and Co., 1923.

You reminded me of one misty morning I saw a full rack buck in my neighbors yard… a magical moment.

I’ve also seen a fox trodding through a winter’s snow in the moonlight in my own back yard!

Oh…for just a tad bit of relief from the humidity. 🙂

    1. Selma Martin

Be well dear Jules. Autumn is around the corner now.
