Can Life Be Measured? An Espresso Moment #poetry

I’d like everyone who reads to come away feeling gladdened and revitalized,
like when one drinks a sobering shot of espresso. Therefore, espresso is the name
I’m giving these short poems I’m about to start sharing with you.

If espresso is not what you like to consume, think of these as escapades to indulge
in your favorite non-alcoholic drink. After all, we want you sober. *wink*

So please, express your thoughts (expressos) or share a linko in the comments
of this espresso, or stop long enough to simply enjoy a cuppa with me.

espresso No.3

Oh Life
it's not as if
life was a fixation
to be measured with a ruler
or graphed/
written
as algebraic calculation
or like a histogram
to be studied
mem'rized
as naught
can give account
for serendipity
acts of kindness, miracles, smiles
and joy

A mirror cinquain + reverse cinquain to make you come away feeling gladdened
because there’s a whole lot more going on than what’s on the news:
like spring,
like life,
like kindness & hope,
like friendship.

Hope you enjoyed the double espresso today.

Life– a song. Yes. We are here for as long as we have a function to fulfil: No more, no less. Thanks for the comment. I bless you.

Thanks, David. Pleases me to know. This is the extent of what I can do right now: Longer ones, wordy ones escape me… Be well. I wish you miracles. xo

When one has experienced death early on, each day becomes presious. Those whose lives where short, or long.
Make each day special by some memory of goodness, lovingkindness, or recognized gladness.

Still shifting furnature here, we had family come for less than an hour to move to sheves, and take apart another piece of furnature we didn’t need. Having family close to have for companionship and ‘muscle’ 😉 is a good thing to be glad for.

Now… but when I was younger, and even in early marriage and young babes… family wasn’t close (by distance).

Thanks for stopping. Comments mean the world to me. Won't you please leave one?
