After Robert Frost: Golden Shovels

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,

By Robert Frost

now we are one,

Now we are one where we used to be two
Two lonely hearts dragging footsteps on roads–
Roads going nowhere. Now we won’t be diverged;
Diverged no more when we let love in
In bliss every day and there isn’t a
Time—a time I rate you less my mellow yellow
Yellow, like life, warming small groves and a great wood

***

just us two,

Just us Two
We’ll travel roads
Never to stray if diverged
To let the warm Love in
Joined in acceptance of a
Detour or a meander in a wood
Relying on our values and
The vow that I—
Take you for better or worse, I
…till death separates
—took.
You’re my treasure for whom I want to be the
Sane voice of reason in the one
Life we’re given; with no less
Faithfulness than on the day we traveled,
As God is our witness, and I vowed to live by.
