Hotel de los corazones rotos–The hotel of broken hearts
Hello, dear Readers. My heart overflows with gratitude.
“This is a wonderful day.
I have never seen this one before.“
~ Maya Angelou
The prose poem I wrote in April is moving up in the world.
If you gave it some love already during NaPoWriMo, thanks. If not yet,
thanks now. You guys rock, and I’m forever grateful to be writing for you.
Thank you, J re Crivello, Editor in Chief, Sir, Gobblers & Masticadores,
Barcelona, Spain, and The Hotel of Broken Hearts, for publishing my poem
in your lovely online literary magazine.

Soon darkness would swallow what was left of the light and become too dark to continue. How perfectly natural she sat– humming softly to herself, eyebrows drawn, lips pursed in that melancholy way women purse their lips when they concentrate. He could see...

My sister is very fond of sewing. She’s moved her away now, and that old sewing machine of hers always reminds me of her. I liked the note your poem ended on, Selma. Even though I had to click a link to get to it, it was worth all that hard effort ( just kidding 😜 I can click links all day) .
You have a good heart. Keep your sister close through that machine. She’s watching you too.
Thanks so much for clicking and liking the prose poem. Stay well, Tanmay.
I’ve read it first on Hotel Masticadores and on a second read here; i am still in awe🌹
Congratulations Selma. A lovely poem
Thanks for the support, Sadje. Xoxo (((hugs)))
My pleasure
Gorgeous, Selma❣️

Muchas gracias, señor David
My mom and mom-in-law are/were excellent at sewing. I too occasionally do sewing though I am not as good as them. I love the scene you have painted and the love between them. A gorgeous write, dear Selma. ❤️
Sewing is relaxing. My dear mom was also a Singer Lady. That machine pedal sound was soothing. She hand-sewed many of my dresses.
I’m glad you enjoyed the scene I painted for you. I bless you, Punam. (((hugs)))
