The Sonnet The well-nigh noon sun, brimful on my back vies for regard against dark, blue-gray sky wind tousles my hair, cartwheels on the walk lilts golden leaves, whispers to them a rhyme flaming on sidewalk, gold & reds necks crane rising to the blue-- high they levitate in their cavalcade, gusts of prickly rain soon dispeople streets, beg them not be late swiftly as they rose, leaves come tumbling down gray sky turns azure, dazzling orange sun. Surfing mountain peaks-- Papagayo clown? Or Chinook winds with mercurial horn? flowing through stern-wild then turning mental-- oriental clime. Is it coincidental? © 2023 selmamartin.com

Stay warm and keep those lovely words flowing!
Wow,Selma. Both poems are unique. I especially loved the second one. You’ve described the unsettling effects of the weather in clear, beautiful words.
I believe your wish has been granted 🪄 ❄️ 😊

Wonderful stay warm my friend , Selma
So lovely write up poem. So interested words written in. I like.
So cold weather. Beautiful foggy picture. I like.
Both lovely poems, Selma. I like the ‘flaxen fluff’ line – it conjures up images of bits of frozen fluffy cotton wool blowing in the wind, although I appreciate that’s a bit of an odd thing to say. I could just see that image in my mind for some reason.
With the weather conditions you have there, I hope you are keeping safe and warm, my friend. Hugs Xx 🌷❄💕
