Seek Ordinary Beatitude For A Life Replete Enough: Poem

Full of sulk, she loathes the boredom
All alone in her village home
A bird chirps and baby coos
Sun-kissed strawberries, grilled-cheese blues

She props the baby in the pram
Beside them walks the newest lamb
Sit they under the dogwood tree:
The babe, the lamb, a book, and she

And the daylight’s not long enough
But her life is replete enough
And the blazing orange yonder
Blesses her with awe and wonder

Wrapped in visions, come in dreaming
She glides that bluing evening
A lank tan cat slinks languidly,
Blithesome, she follows it sprightly

And the days are not full enough
And the nights are not full enough
And life slips by like a field mouse
Not shaking the grass

                                       ~ Ezra Pound
“Just living isn't enough," said the butterfly,
"one must have sunshine, freedom
and a little flower."

    “And the blazing orange yonder
Blesses her with awe and wonder” it’s so wonderful to be blessed with magnificence of nature. If we pause and look, we can find sparks of beatitude in the mundane as well. Loved the piece Selma 💖
