The sun shines slant
and slender
in the nobility of autumn’s splendor.
It's that time of the year when spiderwebs tense and sway gently unmanned in the cold wind When migratory birds have packed all their spools and taken off to lands where they're needed They're not here to see the leaves turn resplendent and carpet the grounds where they summered But we know they'll return to frolic and sing songs of warmth, life, and restoration. *** All Rights Reserved Β© Selma Martin 2021
May the climax of the year that is autumn, melt your heart with warmth, life, and
restoration. Be well, I wish you miracles.

The young woman β is not me. π but I take it that you liked it. Happiness begets happiness. Right?

Ah! Lovely poem on Autumn. I think you love Autumn the most.π
Yes, yes. Autumn is tops for me. Cannot get enough of it. Which is your fave? Do you have all 4 seasons in your area? I hope so. πΌ π
No, we have only three seasons. I like winter.π
I’m happy in winter as well. The only one that beats me to a pulp is summer… go figure! Thanks for interacting with me. xo

You’re most welcome π
lovely poem: we are heading into summer here down under π
Ah, so you and AnotherKate are down under. Lovely. You should mosey on over to the poem I wrote for her last week. It talks about the laughing kookaburras,
the loudmouthed cockatoos,
the warbling magpies,
and nightingales too
If you cannot find it, let me know. No pressure, John. Happy end of spring, start of summer. Yay.
thanks Selma; will have a look π
Thatβs lovely, Selma. ππβ€οΈ
Aww. Gracias.
Lovely poem – superb word choices — unmanned spider webs swaying and birds unspooling — just delightful and captivating. You’ve painted such a brilliant picture with words, in celebration of Autumn – it really does feel energetic and bright, Happy. It’s a breath of crisp, fresh air. And the image compliments so well. Great stuff Selma. π Be well and safe and enjoy the lovely moments π
