Shelling Our Hearts Out #dVerse #quadrille

The memory still pulls
at my heartstrings
you by the wooden gate,
pumpkin seed shelling
and the hens at your feet,
pecking

To the old picket fence,
I'd come scooting
you'd offer me some
we'd sit gratified
sparks flying
hearts swelling
intoxicated--
us shelling

They’re having heart-to-heart talks at dVerse, my friends, and you’re all
invited to participate.
