Hearts Belong To Who? A villanelle poem. The whole day through my heart adores you, From amethyst morn past the lilt of afternoon Whisper to me; yours belongs to who? Hail to the sun - gives life, our faith remains true, Praise to puddles that mirror the light of the silken moon. The whole day through my heart adores you. A love like ours becomes a reality for far too few. Don't let winter tempests take over, lest hearts start to swoon. Whisper to me; yours belongs to who? Enraptured in music borne of stardust and morning dew; In love with the person who inside of me cocoons - The whole day through my heart adores you. Like condor wings, gliding, soaring, we come through, Immune from imbalance, reaching higher, hearts in tune. Whisper to me; yours belongs to who? May I never awake any morn soon feeling blue; Nor lay me to sleep without you in shadows of the moon. The whole day through my heart adores you - Whisper to me; yours belongs to who? *** © 2021 selmamartin.com

Whisper to me
Yours belong to who
…. lovely refrain lines.
I agree with Helen, what a lovely refrain! Such a beautiful verse.
A sweet poem. However, the prompt is not asking about the villanelle form though. It is a mirrorred refrain based on the prompt: https://dversepoets.com/2021/08/12/poetry-form-mirrorred-refrain/
If you like, you can modify your poem to reflect the mirrorred refrain form. Thanks and Happy weekend.
Hey, Grace. I appreciate you taking the time to set me straight. I have no excuses to give about this goof. Oh my! Apologies.
I will adjust as well as I can.
Thanks for this. I find it to be another positive vibe from dVerse. Love the group and all its people. I appreciate you. xoxo. Thanks so much.
Gorgeous verses, Selma. There is always a delicacy and sensitivity in your poetry, I find. My favourite lines:
“From amethyst morn past the lilt of afternoon”
“Enraptured in music borne of stardust”
“Like condor wings”
