Did you get one too?
The many-leaved letter, dropped in your yard.
Of course you did—and there’s no
doubt—they’re all signed by God.
Even the driver with the interrogating
thumb got one.
He seems satisfied, happy.
And so now he’ll go to watch more stand
waving at the grave of his beloved. And
he’ll loafe there—in the grass, celebrating,
laughing and singing. Loafing. Like me.
What will you be doing?

After Song of Myself section in Leaves of
Grass by Walt Whitman
The first powerful lines in the section:
“I celebrate myself, and sing myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.
I loafe and invite my soul,
I lean and loafe at my ease observing a spear of summer grass.”

So beautiful and powerful written you .Even the driver with the interrogating
thumb got one. Can’t opened video.
Can’t 😱? I’m so sorry 😞
Click on the globe 🌎 on your iPhone—then it should work. Let me know. 🤗
Sorry ,Selma, I haven’t iPhone.
Thanks!
So inspiring Selma. How lucky could one be to get a letter from God
Yes yes! The grass itself is from God. 👏🏽
Thanks for reading, dear Sadje. 🤗
Everything is God’s gift
So true. 🤗
🙏🏼👌🏼
I will loafe too!
Yay. Let’s loafe. 😆
So inspiring Selma..and Walt Whitma is a favorite, so this post is a double treat..
Sadly, I can’t open/play the video too😔
Darn WordPress! Can’t be viewed on Reader. Mich, please click the globe 🌎 once or twice. That signs you in.
If you want.
It’s just about grass after all 🤣
Good night. 🤗
To loafe is life, if you do it right!
We try to do it right always. Loafers all of us. 😉 thanks for reading and appreciating. Blessings, Dora.
What a serene reflection on the many tenses of loafing Selma. Like a loaf of bread, I will be loafing too girlfriend! 🥐😍🍞
🤭 I always knew you are this funny. But forgive me girlfriend. Not like a loaf of bread. 😆 . 🤣 that would have been too plebeian for Mr. Whitman. I understand that Walt Whitman means to “spend time in idleness.” Idleness dear Sista! Not eating bread 🤣 you see?
Furthermore, I read it somewhere that this art of loafing has quacker roots. (Now I don’t know how to spell quacker but know these were kind people. How do you spell Quacker?
So now do you want to loafe with me? You bring the bread. Let’s.
😂 LOL…I’ll bring the bread Selma, you bring the wine and cheese!!! 🍷🍾🍷 LOL THEN…let’s sit in idleness! 😱😜😲 Let’s! 💖
Okie dokie 👍🏽 let’s do this! We’ll have a blast.
Xoxo 🤗 🧀 & 🍷 🍞 👏🏽
Absolutely my fearless friend! Love your smorgasbord of emoji’s!!! 🍷🥐🍾🍞🥂🧀🥯
I couldn’t open the video, Selma, but your poetry is stunning, and I will be loafing too! Sending hugs! ❤️🤗
I don’t know what I’m doing differently than everybody else.
I see the “unavailable” notice on videos of others too and make sure to exit Reader by clicking the globe 🌎 (sometimes once, sometimes twice) and then viola! I can see the video.
That’s the new change in WordPress.
Sorry you still cannot see it.
It’s just a silly grass video anyway. No biggie.
Instead of fussing with grass I’d be so honored if you’d read my post published on MUSA today. 🙇🏽♀️ thanks beforehand. It’s long 😮💨
Blessings. Stay sweet.
WP is frustrating sometimes. 🙂 Where can I find that post, Selma?
Bless you.
